What Is SKINVIVE™?
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable indicated to improve cheek skin smoothness. This product temporarily increases hydration, helps the skin retain moisture and improves texture for an overall refreshed look.

How Does It Work?
Aging skin can no longer hold moisture as effectively. Decreased cell renewal, fewer natural oils and sun damage can also lead to a drier, duller and rougher appearance. SKINVIVE smooths and hydrates below the skin’s surface to improve cheek smoothness for all skin types and tones.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally-occurring substance in the body that lubricates the joints and other tissues. Tiny, intradermal microdroplets of HA are injected within the dermis layer of the skin, so there is no change to face shape or volume. The result is glowing, healthier skin for approximately 6 months.
What to Expect
During your appointment, a licensed specialist will perform multiple microdroplet injections on each cheek. Lidocaine, a common pain reliever, is an ingredient in SKINVIVE to keep you comfortable while receiving treatment. After the session, you’ll be asked to limit strenuous activities, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages for the next 24 hours.
Is SKINVIVE Safe?
Patients in clinical studies have reported more glowing, hydrated, refreshed and healthy-looking skin compared to before treatment. SKINVIVE is FDA-approved for use on adults over the age of 21 to improve cheek skin smoothness. It is available only by a licensed physician or properly licensed practitioner. The safety and effectiveness of this injectable gel has not yet been tested on other areas of the body.
If skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts or infections are present, treatment should be delayed. The most common side effects were redness, lumps/bumps, swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, firmness, discoloration and itching but most should resolve within 7 days.
