History of the Vein Centers of Connecticut
For over 50 years, conventional vein stripping treatments resulted in pain, scarring and long recovery times. Dr. Alfred Gladstone, a board certified Interventional Radiologist and member of New Britain Radiological Associates since 1985, had been monitoring the progress of new minimally invasive, quick recovery procedures for the treatment of vein disease. As an opportunity to educate and serve the central Connecticut community, we began providing these new vein therapy techniques in an office setting in 2004 when Dr. Gladstone started our practice in New Britain.
At the outset we were accredited by the American College of Radiology, which helps us to advance our competencies and to use of the latest medical equipment to assess conditions and to determine the best therapy, or combination of treatments for each individual.
Dr. Wanda Kirejczyk, board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and on staff at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, joined Dr. Gladstone in New Britain in 2007.
Our staff now includes three board certified radiologists who lead a team of certified physician assistants (PA-C) and vascular certified ultrasonographers (RVT) whose mission is to provide the highest quality care, safety, comfort and results for our patients.
We pride ourselves in creating lifetime relationships with our patients. So, in 2007 in response to requests from our vein therapy patients, we offered new services including laser hair removal, chemical peels, and Microdermabrasion. In 2008 we added injectables (Botox and Juvederm) and restorative skin care to our aesthetics family.
